OVERVIEW

The Matrix DataServe application hosting solution provides clients with all of the capabilities of a Fortune 500 IT department in a single outsourced service: guaranteed application delivery, a professional help desk, access from anywhere, centralization of multiple offices, bulletproof security, total redundancy, disaster recovery, and much more. The foundation of our DataServe application hosting solution is eliminating the dependence on client-side equipment, software, and support personnel. In doing this, Matrix essentially replaces the mundane tasks of an in-house IT department. There are no servers to manage, software to install, computers to maintain, upgrade, etc. Users simply require an Internet connection and a browser.

With Matrix, software and files no longer run on users' individual computers or local file servers. Instead, all applications, data, email, and more is delivered from our managed data center. With the reliance on PC configuration, local servers, and software removed, your core IT function is greatly upgraded. Matrix's data center provides the maximum in security, scalability, and performance. This, combined with our dedicated technical staff, means we can respond to any type of individual request 365 days per year. It also forms the core of the most reliable and pampered IT experience available.

Access from anywhere

Matrix DataServe application hosting solution users can login and work from any computer connected to the Internet - the office, their home, a hotel, a friend's house, etc. They access applications, data, and other digital resources via a web-based portal accessible on the Internet at http://www.Matrix-IBS.com. All they need is a browser and any Internet connection - DSL, T1, wireless, dial-up, etc. The approximate bandwidth required for a single active user is 35 kbps. In an office environment, bandwidth will depend on the number of users sharing the connection and the level of concurrency.

Use any kind of computer

Matrix users are free to use any compatible device e.g. PC, Macintosh, Windows CE, Thin clients, etc. Wherever and whenever users run applications, they'll look and run exactly the same. Also internal employees as well as outside 3rd parties can be given secure access to specific programs or resources. Matrix becomes a single virtual roof for users working from multiple locations.

The Matrix-IBS.com Portal

To access your network, users log into the Matrix-IBS.com portal with their username, password, and company. After authentication, they're presented with a page featuring all their digital resources - programs, shortcuts, recently used files, announcements, service messages, etc. Users click an icon and the program or file will open - the experience is the same as it is with their computers today. Users can also request support, create shortcuts, post messages, etc.
