Microsoft ExchangeŽ & Email

Matrix's farm of Exchange Servers delivers enterprise-level email and groupware to all users. Exchange has been configured to take advantage of all groupware features including public folders, distribution lists, group scheduling, resource sharing, etc. Clients can have multiple domain names and individual users can have an unlimited number of email aliases all pointing to their mailbox. Outlook Web Access, accessible from any browser, is provided for all users and it can deliver much of Outlook's functionality within a browser. This can be a convenient and quick way to access your mailbox from a public computer, airport, hotel, etc. Mailbox limits are 500MB for regular users and 2GB for executive users (no more than 10% of the firm's number of users). Matrix will never block incoming email or restrict users from sending or accessing mail.

Virus & spam filtering

All email traffic that enters Matrix's data center is first received, scanned, and cleared of any viruses outside of the perimeter of our network. Our partner vendor for this service is MX Logic (link to their web site www.MXLogic.com), which processes over 1 billion messages per week. Their systems guarantee that all messages containing malicious code are removed well before they arrive at Matrix. In addition, advanced spam filtering is included with every user account. Matrix, in conjunction with its partner vendor, MX Logic, successfully blocks unwanted spam messages with 90% plus accuracy and less than 1% false positive ratio. These messages are removed automatically. Users are able to view these messages via a proprietary interface. This interface offers the ability to create user, company, and industry-specific black and white lists, in-depth reporting, and flexible policy definitions.

Blackberries & other PDAs

Matrix supports synchronization with Blackberries and other portable devices. Although we support others, Blackberry is Matrix's recommended DataServe application hosting solution for mobile messaging and PIM. Our Blackberry Enterprise Servers handle synchronization between our Exchange Servers and users' Blackberry devices. Synchronization servers are redundant and continuously enable users to send and receive email, open attachments, access their contacts, calendars, task lists, and perform other functions from absolutely anywhere. Aside from Blackberry, Matrix is able to deliver similar results with other devices e.g. Treo, Pocket PC, Palm, etc. Blackberry / Treo / PDA Real time sychronization of emails, contact, and calendar information.
